Our client required a relocatable power supply, able to withstand the harsh environment of the mining industry, yet at the same time offering maximum asset security and meeting Coal Mining Act requirements with regard to High Voltage approach distances.

The project scope called for the installation of six 30 metre (100ft) lighting towers, to allow for continuous stockpiling on a 24 hour rotation. This project required installation to occur whilst the mine operations continued, JNI and their client had to develop a productive and most importantly safe method of installation. The key to success for this project was to deliver a lighting system that gave ample working light, yet without offering interference to the Haul vehicles drivers vision on approach.

With an increased capacity required for the washplant air system our client required to upgrade to larger Air Compressors. This project required JNI to install parallel cabling to the existing supply cables, this presented a few potential issues, as the plant would remain fully operational during the installation.

To provide installation of Dragline telemetry monitoring system, these works included the installation of multiple cables through Dragline tubs and to mid point on the Dragline booms. The scope also required JNI to install the control panels for the entire system and to assist with the full system commissioning.
