JNI were approached to become involved in the planning and designing of a improved traffic flow system for a recently built ROM (Run of Mine), with the aim to improve haul driver information of ROM availability and reduce running costs and improve productivity due to wasted trips. This project involved the duplication of existing traffic controls being placed at the opposite end of the ROM, with increased height of the existing traffic controls, to allow increased vision of the lights. This project also included the installation of a remote traffic control light to offer vision from a stockpiling area, again with the view to reduce running cost and improved productivity. Through the successful completion of this project, we have been able to assist our client with improved productivity and reduce running costs of their haul fleet, also reducing their carbon footprint.
